A complete adult male human skeleton in which every bone is its own named object - built from real scan data, not sculpted by eye.
MODEL AUTHOR
Original model, rigging, UVs and PBR textures by Amir Izadi (amir.izadi.1384@gmail.com).
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- 444 separate parts: all 206 bones, 28 teeth with roots, ear ossicles, hyoid bone
- Costal, nasal and laryngeal cartilages
- Articular cartilage on every joint surface, 22 intervertebral discs, pubic symphysis
- Skull derived from a 0.125 mm micro-CT scan of a real skull and divided into its individual bones along its own sutures
- Named skull openings: optic canal, superior and inferior orbital fissures, foramen rotundum, ovale, spinosum and lacerum, carotid canal, jugular foramen, hypoglossal canal and more
- Vertebrae, pelvis, scapulae, mandible and leg bones derived from CT data; paired bones are exact mirror images
RIG AND POSES
- One armature, 269 bones with clear anatomical names (upper_arm_L, thoracic_7, index_finger_middle_R ...)
- Every bone mesh follows its rig bone; discs and the pubic symphysis bend with the spine
- Included pose "Anatomical position": standing, arms at the sides, palms forward
TECHNICAL
- Real-world scale in metres (height about 1.82 m); STL files in millimetres
- Three levels of detail: High 3,292,900 triangles / Medium 840,640 / Low 324,505
- PBR textures (metal / roughness): 9 texture sets, 4096 x 4096 - BaseColor, Roughness, Ambient Occlusion; Normal maps for Medium and Low
- Non-overlapping UVs, one atlas per texture set
- Clean English anatomical names (e.g. "Femur.L", "Proximal phalanx of thumb.R")
FORMATS
- FBX (High, rigged, with the pose)
- GLB / glTF 2.0 (Medium, Low; textures embedded)
- OBJ + MTL (High, static, anatomical position)
- STL in millimetres: the whole skeleton in one file plus every closed part separately (292 files) - ready for 3D printing
- BLEND (Blender, textures packed)
- All texture maps as PNG
GOOD FOR
Anatomy education apps, medical and science illustration, e-learning, AR / VR, games, animation, 3D printing of teaching models.
NOTES
An idealised teaching model: specimen damage and random pores are removed, named anatomical features are kept. For education and visualisation; not a medical device and not for diagnosis or surgical planning.
